Bridging Culture and Fun: Harvest Academy Brings Equestrian Joy to SJKC Khay Beng!
Celebrating the Year of the Horse with hands-on learning, cultural immersion, and an unforgettable horse-riding experience for students in Perlis.

At Harvest Academy Malaysia, we believe in enriching young minds through unique and memorable experiences that extend far beyond traditional classroom walls. We are incredibly proud to have partnered with SJKC Khay Beng (启明华小) in Perlis, alongside the dedicated youth leaders of Pertubuhan Gerakan Belia Bersatu Malaysia (GBBM), to help kick off the new year with a truly special event.
To usher in the auspicious Year of the Horse, SJKC Khay Beng organised a spectacular day that beautifully blended traditional Chinese culture with an unforgettable hands-on experience. While the 62 students — ranging from preschool all the way to Year 6 — engaged in wonderful cultural activities, Harvest Academy, in proud collaboration with GBBM, was thrilled to support the absolute highlight of the celebration: the excitement of live horse riding!
The power of experiential learning
We deeply understand the power of experiential learning. What better way to truly celebrate the Year of the Horse than to let students meet, interact with, and even ride these magnificent animals right on their school campus?

Working hand-in-hand with the local youth leaders of GBBM, our dedicated Harvest Academy team was on-site to assist, ensure safety, and share in the sheer delight of the children. It was heartwarming to watch students bravely mount the horses and take a leisurely, majestic ride around the school square. For many, this unique opportunity allowed them to connect with nature and cultural symbolism in a direct, engaging way.
A positive force in our community
Our primary mission at Harvest Academy is to foster well-rounded individuals and to be an active, positive force within our local community. Partnering with respected youth and community organisations like GBBM perfectly aligns with our core values of providing engaging educational experiences while building joy and confidence in children.
It was wonderful to see our multicultural community come together, providing a fantastic opportunity for students from diverse cultural backgrounds to experience and appreciate traditional festive customs in a dynamic, interactive way. We love seeing children of all heritages learning and celebrating together!

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Principal and the entire SJKC Khay Beng team for organising such a creative, inclusive, and successful event. Harvest Academy looks forward to many more meaningful collaborations that enrich the lives of students in Perlis and across Malaysia.
