Welcome, new Harvest families
Everything you need to know before your child's first day: school hours, how the day runs, how we keep in touch with you, and the habits every Harvestian learns.
When school starts and ends
What your child will get on day one
Student ID and access card
Every student has a student ID card with personal door access (and girls' boarding house access for female boarders), worn and visible at all times.
A personal locker
Phones, tablets and other devices are kept in the student's own locker during class. Students learn to look after their key and keep their locker clean.
Google Workspace for Education
Each student has a school account for Google Classroom, Google Chat and email, used daily for lessons, homework and messages to teachers.
English every day
English is the medium of communication among Harvestians, in and out of the classroom.
Sport every Wednesday
Wednesday mornings from 8:30 to 10:30 are for badminton, basketball, futsal, dodgeball and more, with teachers joining in.
The Honest Corner
An unmanned shop for drinks, snacks and stationery, where students pay by self-service — built on trust.
How we work with parents
- Three academic reports each year, plus at least one formal parent-teacher meeting
- Progress and attainment benchmarked against UK standards
- Follow your child's lessons and homework by logging in to Google Classroom together at home
- For absence or lateness, send a medical certificate to the class teacher
- Families of boarders keep in touch with the houseparents for leave and outings

Read together before the first day
Parents and students read the school policies together, and they are discussed with every student at the start of the year.
